20th-Feb-2010 02:18 pm - Writer's Block: Money to burn

If you were given two weeks off with an unlimited supply of money that was only good for those two weeks (anything you purchased, invested, or saved would disappear when the two weeks were up), what would you do?

Concerts and trips. The memories would still be there.

Little Shop of Horrors, martinis, figure skating, Inglorious Basterds, and corn dogs. Fuck yes tonight.

But seriously - awesome.

'tis all.
CoCo, Will Ferrell, Ben Harper, Beck, Billy Gibbons, Tonight Show Band, Free Bird?

Fucking Sweet.

And the Roots and Jimmy Fallon doing It's So Hard to Say Goodbye was damn priceless.

sadtimes, mate.
16th-Dec-2009 11:15 am - I want to sleep for days
This semester has been such hell. Even when I'm done, I can't relax. I think there's always something else coming around the corner at me.

I'd like the idea of staying here for a few days, all alone. It could be awesome. Or maddening.
11th-Dec-2009 06:42 am - So I’m told, so the story goes
Hello, 6:30 in the morning. I have a paper to turn in by noon and I know if I go to sleep there will be no waking up. I've been awake since 12:30 yesterday afternoon.

But I finished it, and I've a pretty sweet party to look forward to.

Also, I'm listening to DMB's "The Christmas Song" I cannot complain.

The people he knew were
Less than golden-hearted
Gamblers and robbers
Drinkers and jokers
All soul searchers
Like you and me

Was I the only one who had an odd crush on Pauly Shore?
I just failed at something that five year old me was rock solid at.

But the first track from Veckatimest has me pretty much mesmerized.

Plus, Poverty CLP was so interesting.

'tis all.

What was the most memorable concert you ever attended? What made it so magical?

Hot damn. It is impossible to choose.

Outkast - because I was 12 and it was a school night, and what parent does that ever?!

Incubus (the first time) - I'd been wanting to go and I found out I was going by being sneaky (oh, internet history). And it was just me and my dad and now that is one of my alltime favorite memories ever.

The Who (2006) - It was The Who. And hearing "See Me, Feel Me" live with your arm around one of your best friends is amazing.

Louis CK - He's hilarious.

Bonnaroo 2009 - Animal Collective. Yeah Yeah Yeahs (complete with acoustic version of "Maps"). TV on the Radio. David Byrne. The Mars Volta. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. Bon Iver. Band Of Horses.

David Cross in a couple of weeks should be another one for the books.

I've been lucky.

How are you financially planning for your future?
